Sonos Home Digital Music System - Package Sonos Home Digital Music System - Controller Sonos Home Digital Music System - Base System

The Sonos music system is the first wireless multi room digital music system. Sonos has become one of the most award winning music systems on the market.

Setup really is simple:

  1. Choose your input source
  2. You can connect almost anything to a Sonos system. Whilst you will get the fullest, richest experience by hooking up a computer, you can hook up a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device, a powerful home theatre sound system or even a humble CD player.
  3. Add zones
  4. Add multiple zones to your system with a few keypresses of your controller. These zones can be individually controlled, or controlled all at once, all from one controller, or all controllers. You can play different music at different volumes in different zones.
  5. Add your source
  6. You can have multiple physical sources of music that pool together in one huge library. You can choose to add the music from multiple computers into one library, and if there are duplicate songs, the system will automatically choose the best quality song to add to the library. You can mix songs on your physical sources with songs from the online Rhapsody service, which will be covered more in the next section.

Get the most from Sonos:

A Sonos system also includes the Rhapsody online music service, giving you access to millions of songs for a small subscription fee. This service is accessible directly through the Sonos system, meaning that it doesn't even need a PC or a NAS.

Sonos also extends your broadband connection over it's unique cellular network. What this means is that each Zone Player is connected directly to your internet connection, and by plugging a network cable into it, the internet connection can be used by a PC.
